Abigail N. Walters

Research Associate

Abigail N. Walters is a research associate at the Institute for Child, Youth and Family Policy and a doctoral student at the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University.

Walters’ work focuses on equity, family job quality and immigrants’ access to social safety net programs. In addition, Walters performs policy equity assessments on social safety net programs.  

Prior to joining the Institute, Walters was a senior research associate at The Center for Retirement Research at Boston College, where she focused on elder economic insecurity, older workers and housing. Walters holds a master’s degree in public policy and a bachelor's degree in economics and political science from Simmons University.
